O&M Tender for NTPC’s 20 MW Solar Power Project

For the next three years, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender notice for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of NTPC’s 20 MW grid-connected solar power project in Gandhar, Gujarat.

The deadline for bid submissions is May 30, 2022. On the same day, bids will be opened.

Bidders must submit a ₹773,000 earnest money deposit. A security deposit of 5% of the project cost must be paid by the winning bidder.

The scope of work includes complete O&M of the solar power project up to the 220 kV side of the 33/220 kV grid-tie transformer and the 220KV bay. The winning bidder must ensure that the project generates the most energy possible. In addition, the winning bidder must provide breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance overhauls, and arrange for O&M experts to visit when necessary.

Voltage, current, power factor, power and energy output, and individual array output data are all logged on a daily basis. The winning bidder must also keep track of the monthly energy output of each array and transformer, as well as prepare project performance reports.

Bidders must have completed three similar works, each costing not less than ₹15.46 million, or two similar completed works, each costing not less than ₹19.33 million, or one similar completed work costing not less than ₹30.93 million.

During the last three financial years ending March 31, 2021, bidders must have an average annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the project cost. They must include an audited balance sheet and profit and loss account, as well as a turnover certificate from a chartered accountant, for the three fiscal years ending March 31, 2021.

If the vendor does not begin O&M work within two weeks, the vendor will be charged a penalty of 0.5 percent per week of delay on the work order value.
