  • Canadian Solar’s Hetero type Ribbon (HTR) improves light absorption & the “Multi-Busbar” (MBB) cell technology increases the optical utilization of the cell by reducing the shading of the front of the cell and the light reflection and refraction from the specially shaped solder ribbon.
  • Half-cut cell technology in HiKu7 increases the panel performance by reducing the current through each busbar and consequently reducing the internal energy losses.

4 Module High-Reliability Technologies Ensure a Better Long-Term Performance
  • Usually, a laser is used to cut the solar cells which may damage the cutting surface and cause some micro-cracks at the edge of the cells. In HiKu7, Canadian Solar uses non-destructive scribing and thermal stress to split the cell which prevents cracks and improves the mechanical strength of the cell.
  • The half-cell design of HiKu7 modules reduces the hot spot temperature & the large area of the solar cell makes the hot spot temperature rise more moderately. Along with it, the optimized number of cells protected by the single diode reduces the risk of a hotspot. Moreover, CSAR technology helps in effectively detecting hotspots.
  • After 500 testing cycles with a four-point static load of +5400Pa / -2400Pa and dynamic load 1500Pa sequence, the average degradation value shown by HiKu7 is less than 2%.
  • The junction box on the panel is fixed by 100% automatic tin welding. Tin will wrap the lead wire of the busbar and the electrode of the J-box together to improve the welding quality. It can ensure the long-term reliability of the 210mm cell module.
