1.3 GWp solar project in Rajasthan

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has successfully declared commercial operation of an additional 125 MW solar capacity at its Bhadla Solar PV Project in Phalodi, Rajasthan. The capacity went live effective 00:00 hrs on January 31, 2026, following certification from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC) on February 3, 2026.

This newly commissioned solar capacity forms the second part of the 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project, one of the largest solar parks in India’s Thar Desert with high irradiation and excellent solar potential. With this addition, the NTPC Green Energy Group’s total installed capacity rises to 8,813.25 MW, reinforcing the company’s commitment to scaling its renewable portfolio in line with India’s clean energy goals.

The Bhadla Solar PV Project is operated by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL, and integrates large-scale solar power generation into the national grid infrastructure. The incremental 125 MW capacity supports India’s shift toward low-carbon energy and helps meet increasing demand for green electricity.

As the clean energy transition accelerates, companies like OrnateSolar are positioned to help developers and industries deploy high-efficiency solar solutions—leveraging proven project execution expertise to maximize returns and sustainability.
