
In Masenka, Gujarat, Tata Power Renewable Energy has completed a 120MW solar project. According to a business statement, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a 100% subsidiary of Tata Power, has commissioned the solar project, which will produce 305247 MWh (305.247GW) annually for Gujarat Government (GUVNL).
According to the statement, about 3.81 lakh modules were utilised in the installation, and the project will save up to 1.03 lakh tonnes of CO2 each year.
The project featured thin-film glass-on-glass modules with varied wattages and harnesses with capacities ranging from 440Wp to 460Wp.
“We are pleased to announce the completion of the 120 MW solar project at Masenka, Gujarat, in just five months.
“We have solidified our position as a major renewable energy player with unmatched prowess across the solar Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) value chain, and we are committed to continuing our steadfast efforts to help India achieve its clean energy goals,” said Tata Power CEO and MD Praveer Sinha.
Tata Power today has 3,520 MW of renewable energy capacity in operation, with 2,588 MW of solar and 932 MW of wind.
Tata Power has a total renewable capacity of 4,920 MW, with 1,400 MW of projects in various phases of development.
