The Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency has invited bids to select solar power generators to set up 500 MW of solar project. This project has been commissioned under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan Yojna (PM KUSUM program).
The projects’ primary focus is to allow Grid Corporation of Odisha to meet its solar renewable purchase obligation. The plants are to be set up on a build-own-operate basis on barren or cultivable lands. These are intended to increase the farmers’ income as they can lease their land to develop the projects for sale of power to the State Discom.
The last date to submit the bids online is June 22, 2021, and bids will be opened on June 24. The pre-bid meeting will be held on May 21.
A bidder must quote for a minimum capacity of 500 kW and a maximum of 2 MW, in multiple of 50 kW only, against each 33/11 kV substation listed in the tender document. In total, a developer can submit its bid for multiple 33/11 kV substations. Also, developers can apply for multiple projects for a substation.
State Discom GRIDCO shall sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the selected developer, with the maximum payable tariff fixed as INR 3.08 INR/kWh for the entire PPA duration.
The selected developer must commission the project within nine months from the award of the project.
