Amp Energy Commissions 30 MW Solar Project for Bosch

Bosch Limited has inked a 25-year power purchase deal with Amp Energy India for solar power from a 30-megawatt project. Amp Energy’s open access plant in Raichur, Karnataka, would provide the energy. Bosch will receive roughly 43 MUs of green energy per year from the project, which will cover about 40% of the company’s energy needs. This project would use solar energy to power three Bosch plants in and around Bangalore. This purchase will also help Bosch offset 31,000 tonnes of CO2 each year.

RK Singh, the Union Power Minister, launched the Automatic Generation Control system (AGC). Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO) manages the AGC through the National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC). To maintain the frequency and dependability of the power system, NLDC transmits signals to more than 50 power projects around the country every four seconds via AGC. For variable and intermittent renewable energy, AGC will ensure more efficient and automatic frequency regulation. To date, 51 GW of generation capacity has been active under the POSOCO’s AGC project, according to Singh. India is getting ready to integrate large-scale variable and intermittent renewable energy sources, he said. The AGC was an important instrument for frequency regulation.

Anupam Rasavan has given KPI Global Infrastructure an order for solar power projects with a capacity of 12.50 MWdc in the captive power producer segment. Gandhar Food Products, N. J. Texturisers, Sai Laxmi Tex, Shabnam Petrofils, and Vihita Chem have previously placed orders with the corporation for solar power projects with a capacity of 5.084 MWdc in the captive power producer segment.

The 16.62 billion ($222.81 million) Khargone Transmission Limited (KTL) project in Madhya Pradesh was commissioned by power transmission infrastructure developer Sterlite Power. The project will transport 13.20 GW of power generated by the Khargone power plant to a Khandwa substation at a voltage of 765 kV. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Daman, Diu, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli will all receive power. All of the project’s elements are now complete and charged, thanks to the completion of the 765 kV D/C Khandwa – Dhule transmission line.
