Autokast Ltd

Autokast Ltd, a Kerala government-owned foundry, has issued a tender for the development of a 2 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at its Cherthala factory.

The last date to submit the bids online is 08th October 2021.

Bidders must be the deposit $200,000 (about $2,713) as earnest money to participate in the bidding process. The project is expected to cost $100 million ($1.36 million). Bidders must also provide a performance security deposit of 10% of the total contract price.

Site preparation, surveying, design, engineering, procurement, transportation, instrumentation, installation, testing, and commissioning are all included in the scope of work. The winning bidder must offer operation and maintenance (O&M) services for five years after the project is commissioned.

The winning bidder must finish the project within nine months of the work starting date. In the event of a delay, the rate of liquidity damage shall be 1% of the contractual value per week of delay, with a maximum accepted contract of 10%.

Bidders must have completed and commissioned at least 4 MW of rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects in India to participate in the competitive bidding process. Bidders must have completed at least one 1 MW ground-mounted solar project in Kerala as part of this requirement.

In the previous three financial years, bidders must have had an average yearly turnover of $150 million ($2.03 million). In the preceding three financial years, their net worth had to be positive.

The solar project’s mechanical structures, electrical work, and general workmanship must be warranted for at least ten years.

Solar modules must have a minimum efficiency of 19%. At the end of ten years, the output wattage of the modules must be at least 90%, and at the end of twenty-five years, it must be at least 80%. Over five years, the electricity generated should degrade no more than 5%, and after ten years, no more than 10%.

The Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANRERT) in Kerala published a tender in July 2021 for a rate contract for 2.5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems. The projects’ capacities would range from 2 kW to 50 kW.
