Under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued a request for selection (RFS) to install 2 MW of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. 16th November 2021 is the last date for submitting bids.
The scope of work for the 2 MW rooftop solar PV project comprises design, engineering, supply, storage, civil work, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning, as well as a 25-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period on DMRCL depot sheds and other elevated depot buildings.
Net metering or appropriate metering will be used to feed the solar electricity generated into the grid. The project is expected to cost around $1.05 million (78.2 million). The task must be finished within 12 months after being assigned. The tender document costs $23,600 ($319).
The project will have a 25-year fixed tariff with a tariff limit of $4 ($0.054)/kWh. On each rooftop, the scale of each project might range from 10 kW to 400 kW or more.
Each unit can connect to the grid independently and may have its energy metre.
The bidder must be based in India and work in the solar energy industry. The bidder might be from any nation and can be a single business or a joint venture with which there is already an agreement.
In the 10 years leading up to June 30, 2021, the bidder must have constructed and commissioned a grid-connected solar PV project of at least 1 MW and a rooftop solar PV project of at least 250 kW.
Any one of the previous five financial years’ annual turnover should have been greater than or equal to 78.2 million ($1.05 million).
In a joint venture, the main partner must have at least a 26 percent ownership stake. Partners who have less than a 26% participation rate will not be evaluated.
