The Eastern Railway has issued a tender to build 1.5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems across numerous sites without battery energy storage.
The locations in Howrah, West Bengal are Liluah sorting yard coaching complex, the Tikiapara coaching complex, the electric multiple unit (EMU) car shed, the electric loco shed, and the diesel shed.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹72.54 million.
The deadline for proposal submissions is June 21, 2022. On June 27, bids will be accepted.
Bidders must submit a ₹512,700 earnest money deposit.
Bidders must utilize monocrystalline or polycrystalline silicon solar cells connected in series in their modules. They must provide a solar grid-connected string inverter and a data logger, which will provide data to a remote service platform for storage and analysis in a variety of visual and graphical formats.
For interconnecting panels, array, junction box, and solar inverter system, bidders must deliver aluminum module mounting structure, array junction box, inverter interfacing panel, fire-resistant DC cables, and fire-resistant AC cables of appropriate length per site requirement. They must also provide solar panel cleaning bots that are fully autonomous or semi-automatic and use no water.
During the previous seven years, they must have done three similar works costing a minimum of 30% estimated project cost each, two similar works costing a minimum of 40% estimated project cost each, or one similar job costing a minimum of 60% estimated project cost.
Bidders must have an average yearly turnover of ₹15 million, according to the most recent audited financial accounts.
