The Bilaspur Smart City Limited (BSCL) has issued a request for proposals for 6.3 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Chhattisgarh’s Domuhani, Smriti Van, and Ghuru Ameri.
Interested bidders would be required to submit a 1.2 million ($15,768) earnest money deposit for the first tender for a 2.3 MW ground-mounted solar power plant in Domuhani, Chhattisgarh.
The deadline for proposal submissions is March 26, 2022.
The winning bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance for the next 25 years.
The tender is expected to cost $126.5 million ($1.66 million).
As a performance bank guarantee, the winning bidder will be required to provide an amount equal to 10% of the bid value.
The project must be finished in 11 months from the date of the work order’s issue.
A bidder must have completed a single grid-connected solar power project, ground-mounted solar power project, or rooftop solar system with a cumulative capacity of not less than 1.5 MW in the last three years to be eligible for the bidding process.
Alternatively, the bidder must have completed two grid-connected solar power projects, ground-mounted solar power projects, or rooftop solar power projects with a combined capacity of at least 1 MW.
In the previous three financial years, the bidder’s average yearly turnover should have been at least $60 million ($788,400).
On the last day of the preceding financial year, the bidder should have a positive net worth.
For 25 years, BSCL will execute a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company.
2 MW solar project at Smriti Van
BSCL has issued a new tender for the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of a 2MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant at Rajkishor Nagar’s Smriti Van.
To participate in the bidding procedure, the bidder must provide an earnest money deposit of 1.1 million dollars ($14,454).
The deadline for proposal submissions is March 26, 2022.
The tender is expected to cost $1.45 million (110 million). As a performance bank guarantee, the winning bidder will be required to provide an amount equal to 10% of the bid value.
The project must be finished in 11 months from the date of the work order’s issue.
The technical conditions for the 2.3 MW Domuhani tender remain the same.
The bidder’s average yearly turnover over the last three financial years should be $55 million ($722,700).
To obtain power, BSCL will execute a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company.
2 MW solar project at Ghuru Ameri
In a separate contract, BSCL is seeking offers to build a 2 MW solar plant in Ghuru Ameri, Chhattisgarh. The winning bidder will be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance for the next 25 years.
The deadline for proposal submissions is March 26, 2022.
The tender is expected to cost $1.45 million (110 million). As an earnest money deposit, interested bidders should send an amount equal to 1.1 million dollars ($14,454).
As a performance bank guarantee, the winning bidder must provide 10% of the bid amount.
The project must be finished in 11 months from the date of the work order’s issue.

Thanjavur Smart City Limited issued a request for proposals in December for a 2MW ground-mounted solar project at the Sirajudeen Nagar Sewage Water Treatment Plant in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.
