Rooftop solar panels on West Bengal government building

The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has issued a tender to develop 10 MWp grid-connected rooftop solar projects on government buildings across the state. The projects will be executed on a turnkey basis, covering supply, installation, commissioning, and five years of operation and maintenance (O&M). Bids can be submitted online until October 29, 2025.

The installations are planned across multiple zones in West Bengal, promoting widespread adoption of rooftop solar in public facilities. The tender is valid for a minimum of 180 days from technical bid opening, with possible extensions at WBSEDCL’s discretion

This move is part of West Bengal’s effort to expand clean energy adoption in public infrastructure, aiming for sustainable and cost-efficient electricity generation.
