In cities, the rate of solar adoption is steadily increasing. But due to the availability of limited space, many consumers are turning towards high-wattage solar panels.
Why? Let’s understand through an example:
Suppose an individual is installing a 5kW solar power plant. If the solar developer opts for 415 Wp panels, then 13 modules would be required. But, if 600 Wp panels are used, only 8 modules will be required.
In recent years, many global solar brands have introduced panels with power outputs as high as 800. In this blog, we’ll learn about the highest-watt peak solar panels available in the Indian market.
• Canadian BiHiKu7
• Trina Vertex
• Longi Hi-Mo5
• Jinko Tiger Pro 78TR
• JA DeepBlue 3.0

Recently, Canadian Solar launched BiHiku7, one of the highest-watt peak solar panels. The BiHiKu7 is a bifacial dual-cell PERC module with a power output of up to 670 Wp.
The modules boast impressive module efficiency of up to 21.6%, setting a new industry standard. BiHiKu7 modules are equipped with Canadian Solar Advanced Regeneration (CSAR) technology that aids in reducing light and elevated temperature-induced degradation (LeTid) by 50%.

Trina Solar launched its 670Wp solar panels series under the name “Vertex”. This panel is Monocrystalline Bifacial with a maximum efficiency of 21.6%. These modules have larger solar cells with 210mm diameter and are equipped with multi-busbar and high-density encapsulation technology for maximum light capture and minimum space between cells.

Longi has launched Hi-Mo6 series solar panels with a power output of 585Wp and module efficiency of 22.1%. The modules are crafted with HPBC cell technology that offers advanced efficiency, reliability, and intelligence.

Jinko Solar launched its 635-watt peak solar panels series under the “Tiger Neo”. This range includes both monofacial and bifacial panels. As per the organization, panel efficiency can reach 23.23%.

JA Solar launched an 810 Watt panel. However, its highest watt peak solar panels available in India are the “DeepBlue 3.0“ series. This MonoPERC panel has a 21% efficiency. In India, the available panels’ range is 535 to 585 watts.
Note: We advise against using modules with extreme outputs since they tend to be costly and less durable. The ideal output in the high wattage category is around 590-660 Wp.
