The attendees include policymakers, developers, decision-makers, influencers, and experts.
REI provides its attendees with a platform to exchange ideas and technologies, gain global insights into the latest happenings of the industry, and have an opportunity to interact with the best minds in the industry.
REI mainly focuses on Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Bio-Energy, Energy Storage, Electric Vehicles, and charging infra.
This year, the event is taking place at the India Expo Centre (Greater Noida, UP), from 30th October to 1st November.
India’s renewable energy potential is unmatched.
Consider these numbers–
India has emerged as the world’s 3rd largest country by installed renewable energy capacity, surpassed only by China and the United States. As of March 2025, the nation’s total renewable energy capacity stands at 220.10 GW, according to official data from MNRE and IRENA.
This achievement marks a major leap forward since the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to achieve 500 GW of renewable and non-fossil capacity by 2030. India has already crossed the 50% milestone—with more than half of its total power generation capacity now coming from non-fossil fuel sources, well ahead of schedule.
To sustain this rapid transition, the Government of India continues to introduce progressive initiatives, incentives, and policy reforms that promote the growth of solar, wind, and energy storage technologies.
In the Union Budget 2025-26, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) received a record ₹26,549 crore allocation to accelerate clean energy programs. However, the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) saw a smaller direct budget this year due to slower project execution. To strengthen its funding base, SECI launched its first ₹600 crore market debenture issue in September 2025, supporting new solar, wind, and storage deployments across the country.
India’s continued progress demonstrates its unwavering commitment to achieving the 500 GW clean energy goal by 2030, cementing its position as a global leader in renewable transformation.
And there’s more!
According to the latest IBEF and EY India reports, the renewable energy sector is projected to attract over US $80 billion in investment over the next four years, underscoring strong domestic and foreign confidence in India’s clean energy landscape.
India stands firmly at the cusp of an energy transition, with projections suggesting that by 2040, nearly 49% of the nation’s total energy demand will be met through non-conventional renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biogas. The country’s clear policy direction and long-term sustainability targets continue to reinforce this transformation.
This momentum is not limited to generation alone—emerging areas like battery energy storage systems (BESS) and green hydrogen are rapidly gaining traction. These technologies are expected to play a pivotal role in achieving India’s decarbonization and energy independence goals.

Across industries, businesses are actively investing in renewable energy to lower operational costs, reduce carbon footprints, and strengthen their ESG performance. The combination of falling technology costs, favorable regulations, and strong policy support has made renewables an integral part of India’s industrial and commercial ecosystem.
As the global energy landscape shifts toward sustainability, India’s renewable sector stands as a powerful example of innovation and resilience. Staying updated on emerging technologies, market trends, and policy developments is key for organizations seeking to thrive in this dynamic and fast-evolving domain.
