This week Delhi hosted South Asia’s leading renewable energy expo, REI. The India Expo Centre was abuzz with innovations in the space of renewable energy, a sector that is growing at an astonishing pace in India.

The representation of the expansive solar sector was especially impressive, with displays ranging from the latest modules, inverters, and other equipment.

But, while most exhibitors showcased what the Indian solar industry looks like, we gave visitors a peek into what the industry would look like in the future.

For the very first time, Ornate Solar set up a booth at the Renewable Energy India Expo to display a range of modern, appealing, and efficient solar solutions that will change the way people think about solar.

From panels that work as functional roofs and smart inverters that can be programmed to automated robots that effortlessly clean panels- we brought a whole new solar experience to the table.

This year, we launched India’s first integrated solar roof, Ornate InRoof. The system replaces conventional structures and sheet roofing with solar panels acting as the primary roof. The solar InRoof accommodates 26% more panels, is fully leakproof, looks aesthetically pleasing, and has widespread applications.

Within six months of its launch, Ornate InRoof has already crossed the 1MW milestone in installations.

Tarang is an all-in-one hybrid inverter specially designed for India’s rural grid. This made-in-India marvel has a transformer-based design and a high surge capacity. The inverter is easy to install and is compatible with all types of lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries.

Soiled solar panels significantly reduce power output. Electra– India’s first autonomous guided cleaning robot solves that problem. The smart device is lightweight and portable and can be operated by anyone with ease.

It safely deep cleans PV panels at night and maximizes energy yields.

An Advanced DGPV synchronization device, ‘VYAS’ seamlessly integrates with all types of inverters and diesel generators. The device allows the use of solar plants during grid unavailability. Moreover, this intelligent controller is powered by Edge computing technology.

Water and dust accumulation along the border of solar modules is a common problem. We designed the Aqua Pi clip to solve the issue.

This easy-to-install tool automatically removes the stagnant water from the panels and improves the output by 24%. Aqua Pi is made out of anti-aging ABS material with high and low-temperature resistance for long shelf life.

With a sleek and compact design, Zion functions as an integrated energy storage device for residential use. It is powered by Inverted lithium-ion batteries and equipped with a smart battery management system (BMS) that monitors household electricity consumption.

Our first REI presentation was a great success! We had an eventful three-day show, with an impressive turnout where our solar solutions were received very well. It was heart-warming to see people interacting so positively with the products we have worked hard on.
