For the next three years, NTPC Limited is seeking proposals to maintain the 250 MW solar project at Ananthapuram, Andhra Pradesh, as well as the 5 MW solar power project in Andaman. The contract package will be funded by NTPC using domestic commercial borrowings or its funds.
The deadline for proposal submissions is March 1, 2022.
An earnest money deposit of $5 million ($66,299) will be required of all interested bidders. The contract has a 36-month term.
To be eligible to participate, a bidder must have completed a contract for the installation and commissioning of at least one grid-connected solar power project with a capacity of 150 MW or more within the previous seven years as of the bid opening date.
Alternatively, as of the bid opening date, the bidder must have completed for at least one year within the previous seven years a contract for operation and maintenance of at least one grid-connected solar power plant with a capacity of 150 MW or larger.
The bidder’s average yearly turnover throughout the previous three financial years as of the bid submission date should not be less than 163.2 million ($2.16 million).
In addition, the bidder’s net worth must be at least 100 percent of the paid-up share capital as of the previous financial year’s last day. If the bidder does not meet the financial conditions on its own, the holding company must meet the specified turnover requirements.
Only Class-I local suppliers are allowed to participate in this tender, according to NTPC. To be classified as a ‘Class-I local supplier,’ a bidder must have a minimum of 50% local content. Any bidder from a nation that shares a land border with India, as defined in the bidding document, is only eligible to bid in this procurement provided they are registered with the regulatory government.
